Participation in a training course is not mandatory either before taking an exam or if it is necessary to retake the exam, but it can be very useful and recommended if you have no practical experience in that field.
The exam can be retaken at any time, once you feel you've achieved adequate preparation. There are no limits.
It may be helpful to take the exam immediately after completing a training course, but this is neither mandatory nor essential. If the course participant is unsure about taking the exam immediately, they can take the certification exam later. This will allow them more time to familiarize themselves with the topics they feel they are lacking in, and then take the exam only after completing their preparation. Candidates have one year from the date of registration to take the exam.
Yes, the fee for each exam includes participation in only one session of the exam for which you registered. If you fail, you can retake additional exams by paying the corresponding fee. Free or discounted retakes are not available.
The exams offered by ITA-STQB are conducted online in Live Remote Proctored mode, which involves the remote presence of a proctor (invigilator) who checks the regularity of the exam in real time, in line with the value of the certifications we offer and the rigor with which the reference bodies certify professionals in the sector.
You will receive an email notification as to whether you pass or fail the exam, along with your score. If you pass, you will receive an electronic certificate.
The operational activities of ITA-STQB are guided by a Scientific Committee which includes some of the leading software engineering experts, coming from both the academic and industrial worlds.
ITA-STQB is a non-profit association
